SIMPLE SHORTCUTS & SECRETS
Photo Editing Made Easy
For busy wedding & portrait photographers so you can close that laptop sooner.
Did October go by in a blink of an eye to you? It’s November! Sending you this quick photo editing tip that can look intimidating to do but is actually really easy.

Creating your own presets in Lightroom is super-easy and I highly recommend it for actions where you’re doing the same thing over and over.
I’ll show you how to do it:
Step 1: In the Develop module, make the edits to an image that you want in your preset.
Step 2: In the left panel, press on the + in the Presets header.
Step 3: Tap on "create preset."

Step 4: In the dialog box that comes up, title your preset and choose a group if you want one. Then tick or un-tick the settings you want in your preset.
Step 5: Hit the "Create" button. You'll find the preset you just made in your Presets list in the left panel.

You’re ready to use the preset you created instead of repeating the same steps over and over. 🙌🏻
Ideas for creating your own presets:
If you have a lens profile that doesn’t automatically assign itself in Lightroom, you can create a preset to do it.
Add and/or remove grain to your images using your preferred settings.
Add vignetting settings.
Store your preferred HSL color adjustments.
Keep your black and white image preferences.
Create AI masking for skin, hair, eyes, clothing, sky, etc. with adjustments as a preset.
So what do you think—will you try creating your own preset?
Happy editing,
Erika
