SIMPLE SHORTCUTS & SECRETS
Photo Editing Made Easy
For busy wedding & portrait photographers so you can close that laptop sooner.
I really struggle with figuring out what to do with my time when I don’t have photo editing on my to-do list. I get into a rhythm when editing and when it’s gone, I miss it! 😢
Does this happen to you after wedding season is over?
Anyway, here’s a photo editing reminder in case you got a new computer for the holidays. (You lucky duck!🦆)

Get a new computer? Yay! 😀
I both love and hate getting a new computer. It’s fun and exciting but also can be confusing and a pain to get all your stuff from your old computer onto the new one, right?
When I got a new iMac computer a couple years ago there were some display settings that changed the colors on my screen that were already ON by default.
👉🏻 True tone? No way, turned that sucker off.
👉🏻 Night shift? Nope, turned that off too.
👉🏻 Automatically adjust brightness? For sure turned that off!
From my research, the first two settings would change the color of the display depending on the light in the room or by the time of day. Yikes!
And the auto adjusting brightness would dim my screen randomly. Oh, heck no. That wasn’t going to work for me when I’m photo editing.
Luckily, I figured this out and turned those things off before it messed up any editing I did on the new computer.
So in case you got a new computer recently, or will be getting one soon, remember to check out your display settings before you do any photo editing.
Are there any other settings you check before photo editing on a new computer? Tell me so I can make sure I’m checking it too.
Happy editing,
Erika
