Are you still right-clicking through the menu to rotate a photo in Lightroom Classic? Been there.
When I first started using Lightroom, I used to rotate images the long way—right-click, navigate the menu, then rotate. It felt like such a small task, but doing it over and over again? Such a time-waster.
Luckily, there’s a much faster way!
Whether you're in Library Grid view or the Develop module, just select the photo (or photos) you want to rotate and press:
Command + Left Bracket [ → Rotates the image 90° to the left
Command + Right Bracket ] → Rotates the image 90° to the right
(If you're on Windows, use Ctrl instead of Command.)
No more menus to navigate and no clicking all around to find where it is—just a quick, easy shortcut that saves you so much time!
When you’re editing hundreds of images from a wedding or portrait session, these little shortcuts add up. The less time you spend fiddling with menus, the faster you can finish your galleries—the faster your clients will be gushing over your photos.
So try it out next time you’re in Lightroom and let me know if it helps!
Happy editing,
Erika
