Frequently Asked Questions

What's Included in the Signature Color Correction?

Beyond standard color correction, it includes quick healing, mask adjustments, and light brushwork whenever I spot opportunities while working on your catalogs. If you have quick editing tasks you want to be sure I do, please mention it in the project notes when submitting your catalog to the editing queue.

When should I request Lightroom Retouching?

Signature Color Correction addresses many minor details, however, should you have more complicated/labor-intensive editing tasks for your catalog, consider adding the Lightroom Retouching service when you submit your editing request.

For example, healing a swarm of insects from photos or removing multiple objects from a background. Anything that would require more than a few seconds to do.

What is considered a wedding/large catalog for turnaround?

Catalogs that total more than 350 images will be considered large for turnaround time.

What is considered a portrait/small catalog for turnaround?

Catalogs that are a total of 350 images or less will be considered small for turnaround time.

When does turnaround time start?

The next business day after your catalog has been uploaded to me. Or, if you already have another catalog in the queue, the day after that catalog has been delivered.

How does turnaround work if more than one person submits a catalog on the same day?

If multiple clients submit editing projects on the same day, your place in the queue is first come, first serve.

What is the turnaround if I have multiple catalogs in the editing queue?

If you already have a catalog in the editing queue, the turnaround time for your next catalog, submitted before the delivery of the first catalog, begins the next business day after the first one is delivered.

What if I need my catalog sooner—can I rush it?

Please reach out to me via email if you need a catalog sooner than the standard turnaround. I can determine where your catalog is in the queue to see if it needs to be rushed. A 50% rush fee may apply if your place in the queue needs to be expedited.

How does culling work?

If you want to add culling to your editing services, please let me know so I can send you the Culling Setup & Preferences form to fill out.

Once you've done that, you can add culling to catalogs when you add your project to the queue from the Client Dashboard.

On your end, you'll what to follow these steps with your catalog:

1. Create Smart Previews for the entire catalog. (This may take some extra time.)

2. Edit all your anchor images for the catalog. Remember to color label them so I know which ones they are.

3. Export and upload the whole catalog when adding to the editing queue on the Client Dashboard. Remember to put your culling range in the project notes.

How does the pricing for culling work?

Culling is billed 10¢ per image in your catalog minus any anchors you've edited for me.

For example, if your entire catalog has 3,000 images in it and you edit 300 anchor images in the catalog, I would charge for 2,700 images for culling. Below is the math:

3000 - 300 = 2700

10¢ X 2700 = $270
